Are you Schadenfreude or Mudita?

Schadenfreude
A malicious satisfaction in the misfortunes of others.

Mudita
Means appreciative joy at the success and good fortune of others.

I'm Mudita.

Helmut Schoeck (Envy) notes that envy (from which springs Schadenfreude) is a) part of our evolutionary make-up, and b) an unacknowledged emotion because even admitting envy is an acknowledgment of feeling inferior.
so none of us escapes it, but some of us manage to both control it and replace it with more expansive emotions like mudita. in other words no one is either and it's just a question of what our mix is.
i have an essay on this subject here.

I want to be able to have Schadenfreude to deal with the bastards in the world. I want to keep it under my control knowing that it is a lowly thing.

SCHADENFREUDE ALL THE WAY, if you learn to laught about yourself you wont get hurt about others laughing at you, so everytime your doing sometime wrong, others will feel schadenfreude and will feel great! AS THE AVENUE Q SONG "SCHADENFREUDE" SAYS "WORLD NEEDS PEOPLE LIKE ME AND YOU, WHO'VE BEEN KICKED AROUND BY FATE, SO WHEN PEOPLE SEE US, THEY DONT WANNA BE US, AND THAT MAKES THEM FEEL GREAT!"
